- Fill the pot with a saline solution that is made by adding salts and warm sterile water.
- Now, find a sink to lean over to and tilt your head sideways. Your forehead and chin must be leveled in order to avoid liquid flowing outside your mouth.
- Take the help of the spout of the neti pot and insert it in your upper nostril. You can do this while breathing through your nose.
- Breathe through your mouth so you can drain the liquid through the lower nostril.
